Most Commonly Used/Seen Herbs Over-View :
Most people use herbs when they cook completely unaware of the health enhancing qualities of the herb they are using to flavor their favorite dishes. The difference is always in the amount and the way one uses herbs in the foods they are preparing verses therapeutic dosage.
A teaspoon or less of an herb once in awhile, is only going to flavor and not have much in the way of health benefits . A therapeutic dose schedule of these herbs can have a great influence on our health in a positive way. Below I will list the Herbs and their most commonly known helpful , restorative, healing qualities. In No way are they the only useful qualities these herbs have.
Herbs commonly found in the Kitchen and their traditional usages :

Rosemary - antiseptic , anti-bacterial, aids in relief of indigestion , increases blood flow,
Basil - A tonic herb , good for most any condition
Garlic - Anti-bacterial, Anti-Fungal, Anti-Viral
Thyme - Bronchitis , coughs, gingivitis
Parsley - mild diuretic-High in Vitamins C
Sage - Astringent-restorative herb that assists the body in wound healing. Used many times to help strengthen a body from a prolonged illness.
Oregano - fever reducer, wound healer, eases stomach cramps due to indigestion
Cayenne Pepper - good for circulatory problems and blood pressure issues-either low or high .
Turmeric - powerful anti-inflammatory
Marjoram - Antiseptic, Anti-Viral, helps sooth the stomach
Ginger - soothes stomach cramps from a virus or food, good for colds .
Cinnamon - Helps lower and stabilize blood sugar
Cloves - antiseptic, toothache pain, anti-parasitic
Nutmeg - treats vomiting, relaxes stomach spasms, anti-inflammatory
These Herbs listed below have been traditionally used to restore health, by the Native peoples and others . They are most likely in your yard or grow wild in your area if you live in the South or live in the Eastern states :
These plants are more commonly called weeds . If you do not have some or all of these very common plants in your yard ; you do not have a yard but a lawn , and you most likely use lots of weedkiller.
PLEASE DO NOT GO GATHER "WEEDS" UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE-EVERY YEAR PEOPLE ARE POISONED BY THINGS THEY MISTAKE FOR SOMETHING ELSE IN THE WILD!!
